Problem: Refer below
Solution: Screen the ads about public transport courtesy at a particular tertiary institution--apparently these people missed those.
Recently, the more educated end of the knowledge spectrum has been losing a lot of respect, be it due to corruption scandals, sexual scandals or mere acts of stupidity. (Please forgive the stark absence of examples--I'm still not ready for a libel charge.)
However, being the forgiving and understanding person that I am, I readily believed that such cases highlighted by the media remain isolated examples, the black sheeps of the herd as they call it.
At least, that remained my belief till a particular incident 2 weeks back.
I was with my friends at a bus stop near Jurong West Sports Complex (Singapore), waiting for a bus (of course). As it turned out, we were waiting for a particular bus which would be coming out of a tertiary institution nearby. (I can give you a clue--the service number is the product of 179 & 1) Naturally, the bus came out filled with students of that institution, at least that was the apparent situation.
But upon closer inspection, we found the bus was quite vacant. The people were just not moving back! And it was not just 1 bus! IT WAS 7 BUSES!!!
